Experimental characterisation of a solid particles jet generated by a pseudo machining operation

چکیده

As a part of the development of a new design process of close capture exhausts systems for machining devices, based on fluid flows modeling, an experimental apparatus was realised, which recreates a machining operation in experimentally controlled conditions. The properties of the obtained spray of solid particles were entirely characterised using Phase Doppler Anemometry (PDA), in order to be used as input and validation parameters for numerical simulations. Measurements results, as well as experimental facility and techniques, are presented here. Résumé : Dans le cadre de la mise au point de méthodes numériques de conception des dispositifs de captage de polluants sur machines d’usinage, nous avons conçu un banc d’essai recréant une situation comparable à l’usinage en conditions expérimentales contrôlées. Le jet de polluant particulaire obtenu a été entièrement caractérisé par granulométrie phase Doppler (PDA) afin d’obtenir des données d’entrée et de validation pour les simulations numériques.
